Tiered pricing for event tickets
The GsA
It would be great to have the option of setting different pricing tiers for an event, e.g. 10 early bird tickets at price $x, 20 general tickets at price $y, etc

Paid events for 1 group/tier but free for another

I would love to offer the same event to 2 or more tiers or groups and have one be able to access for free while the others are required to pay for the event.

It would be great if a paid event ticket option was available as a private event for members of my community and not just if the public option is turned on.
It would also be great if different types of ticket options were available. For example, I'd like to host events for my singles groups and it would be wonderful if I had the option to create tickets for Men and another ticket for Women so I'd have an idea of the male versus female attendees.
It would also be nice to ask them certain questions upon event sign up.
Thank you for your consideration!

Charge for a public event to an isolated group

Totally agree that there should be an option for paid events within the community. Till they implement this, I can think of two work arounds: 1) Create a paid group that has an event inside it that's just for that group. Drawback to this approach is unless you delete the group after the event is over, you'll end up with a bunch of useless one-time groups that you only created just for that event (especially if it's a one time paid event). 2) Create a group where you'll be creating paid events only for that group that are open to the public. That way members of your heartbeat network cannot see the events and join them for free. However, the drawback to this workaround is that if you decide to publicize that event to your group by simply copy-pasting the link to it, if they click it while they are logged in, the link would lead nowhere. They would need to paste the link in an incognito/private tab in order for it to work and pay like everyone else. Another drawback to this approach is that the event will technically be public, so if you wanted an event that is members only, it may not work for you.

At the moment it is possible to organize ticketed/paid events to the public.
But indeed, would be great if we - by the same token - could have existing members needing to pay for events too. So for instance: Tier 1 event is free and included in their plan, while Tier 2 needs to pony up 5 dollar, and Tier 3 pony up 15 dollar.

Jeroen (CTO 👨💻): it would be good to set event ticket discounts for groups, that should provide the most pricing flexibility between in and outside the community.

Can we do this with a coupon code?

Kate Lynch: seems like you could, but it would be easier if you could give free access automatically to a group (for example to your paid subscription members or everyone who purchased a specific course) & then have public access or your free community have to pay for it. I've been thinking about this too because I want to start doing masterclasses with free access to my paid subscribers & have the rest of my community be notified & be able to see the event, but have to pay to get details & join us.

Same.
