Ability to disable DMs by group
Saif Al Rawahi
I'd like to be able to create a lower ticket subscription offer where DMs are disabled so customers are forced to post on the channel. This will allow engagment to increase and ability to build an FAQ that point to the post rather than answering the questions over and over again in the DMs.
Note, it should be if member is in this group, DM access is disabled no matter what other groups they are in. and no, I wouldn't like to disable DMs across the board, higher paying clients should still have DM access. 😊

Yes, please give this option. I want to be able to control this feature so I can disallow it, or restrict it or enable it to different tier groups

I'm voting for this! I requested something similar some time ago, so it would be great that this can become a reality! :D

I’ve been asking for this for ages. Thanks for bringing it up again and describing what we’re requesting so clearly. Turn DMs on or off by group level.

This would be fantastic!!!

Yes!!!! In the meantime, you can have an auto responder message.
When someone in the low ticket group messages you, have an auto reply saying the groups DM’s are not monitored and all questions should be directed to the FAQ thread (include link to FAQ thread).
This is not ideal, however, as it adds one additional opportunity for confusion, but it could work until your better option is created.

Cool idea. Im assuming to turn on or off DM's by group level?

DMs and Call options also NEED to be separated, so people have the option to be DM'd but NOT Called. Many people are wary of being Called by strangers out of the blue.
they also NEED to be seperated so people have the option to keep either DM or Calling, or both on for administrators to contact them, but not users.
I think for personal comfort and safety, every user should have control of whether they turn on or off DM and Call options. Many people are going to be put off the community if anyone can just randomly message and call them. Giving them control over this is essential.
