We have lost users recently and when asked why this was their response - they can’t post anonymously and due to sensitive nature of some things need to be able to. We need the ability for users to post/comment anon!

Doesn’t have much votes, but this might be misrepresenting due to selection bias. Wonder how many people discard Heartbeat for FB Groups or Discourse when prospecting their community platform of choice! Would be an interesting differentiator to some of the other trending community platforms that don’t have it.

Super important. I think it would be a good rule of thumb to follow and "copy" big communities such as Facebook. I am apart of a FB community where anonymous post are crucial for engagement

I'd really like this too - it works well on FB - isn't overused and it would work well for my corporate professionals! Pretty please put it on the roadmap!

I’d like to avoid things like herd mentality, shame to express owns differing opinion, group think, “cancel” etc. Nobody should be hold back to express themselves due to social pressure. A toggle to make post private is much needed for this.
