Improve Docs List
Misty Dorman
I would like if (1) the Doc "Section" headers be clickable & that would create a list of docs in the right window. (2) I would also like if these section headers be expandable and collapsible to show or hide the list of docs in the left pane. The default could be hidden (with a little arrow to indicate it's expandable), so all people see initially are the section headers. They click that & the docs list pops up on the right. (Basically like how it is in Notion.) This will help tremendously for those with a lot of docs, along with (3) reducing the amount of vertical whitespace between the doc names. (4) The doc list should also be made wider to show longer doc names &/or have them wrap when they're too long.

Yes, at least on desktop, it would be nice if the docs section could expand so you can actually see the full title of each doc.

yes please!!! we have docs within specific sections - would want it to be easier for people to see what's in each section

Agree. We have the same issue. Users asks us often where to find docs, because they don't see that they need to scroll down for more sections. It just get's overwhelming after 10 docs - and we have lots more than that.

yes i agree strongly. I have a huge list of docs. we're an art community and my doc section will be open to public and drive clients from google research. I have a big list of art history podcats, books, vidéos, workshops etc. and right now i can't do much without cluttering the menu. I would also love a list of doc to open in the right windoc
something like this
docs
=>podcast
=>=> list of podcasts
=>=>=> podcast 1
maybe cards with images or at least big titles will be helpful too !

I guess this has already been made, but they could expand this functionality to threads, maybe even merge Docs and Channels within the categories, all working through a Notion-style nesting solution.

Good idea. I think UX improvement like this make a lot of sense as soon as content grows. Discoverability right now depends on it.
