Option to remove the "create community" menu to our members
complete
Chris Estilo
When a member accesses our community on desktop (application and navigator) if she or he click on our community logo, Heartbeat proposes the option to ... "create a community".
I understand the referral benefit for Heartbeat but we should have the option to remove this option (even if it is at a cost to compensate : personally I would pay to have the option to remove this menu)
Instead we could have the option to connect the community logo with a link to website for instance
Thanks much awesome Heartbeat team !

If you have custom domain set up & your members use the custom domain URL to access your community, they won't see the community switcher on browser mode, so they won't see to "create community" option. It also does not show up on mobile app for anyone. I'm checking to see if it shows up for members who aren't community managers on desktop app.

Nick Barba Can you help me understand what was completed on this? I can't find the option to remove Create a Community. I see Misty's post below where the icon can take you to a dedicated URL instead of being a community switcher, but I want members to be able to switch between communities. I just don't want them to get confused with the Create A Community option. I want it removed all together so I can just give affiliate links when it makes sense to do so.

Alternatively, please add an option to include our Heartbeat Affiliate code to that link, so each time our users express their curiosity by clicking "create community" we get some comission :-)

Misty Dorman: thanks much for clarifying this

Agreed. As much as I would love to help you grow, inviting someone to create a community from within our community is like an invitation to jump out of a moving train. We have their attention, and then they want to go explore everything. It could also lead to tons of empty communities being created by tire kickers. Let us be the ones to recommend Heartbeat to those of our members who ask. We will do so enthusiastically and give them the link to your website.
