tagging posts

Marc Heeschen
I would love to be able to tag my posts, to then be able to present a filtered view somewhere else by just adding the condition to a specific tag or a group of tags. It would add a new layer of structure and information management, so 1. the user can easily see what a post is about and also another cool way of 1. setting up a new view by showing / searching all posts of a specific tag. Many normal blog systems offer tagging and i think it is something heartbeat should build and offer. Would you please upvote this feature request, so it will be recognized and considered. Thank you ! Ma

Add tags/categories to posts to help filter feed comments like in Skool (see pic)

I love the new feed and can see it might get really busy really quickly in an active community. I love the way Skool allows you to add tags and then filter by those tags easily. Would be great to see something similar on Heartbeat.

Organization features within channels
R
Renato Oliveira
I've seen a suggestion of sub-channels (https://heartbeat.canny.io/feature-requests/p/sub-channels), which I endorse, but my request is wider: the only organization tool within channels is to pin some threads.
What else could there be?
From the top of my head, I say:
- mandatory tag attribution, so anyone can filter different subjects discussed there (admin or moderator could set which tags are allowed on that channel [opening a new channel for each micro-topic is too much]);
- sort thread channels (https://heartbeat.canny.io/feature-requests/p/sort-threads-in-channels)
- Docs could be "embedded" within the channels, as read-only pages or not (this way, everything related to a discussion would be in the same place) [maybe even stop differentiating threads and documents areas: these could be only different kinds of posts if threads were organized as documents are today]...
What do you think? If you have other ideas for organizing channels, post them bellow, please :D
Thanks

Threads must choose #tags or topic

Leylavish ThaGuru
To organize conversations it would be best if all threads must be categorized into topics or tags.

Murtaza Bambot Yes, this is DEFINITELY a game changer. You believe this could be done in Q2 ?

I would love to see tags everywhere too so there is a way to view all content by topic.
At the moment the # sign seems to link to different threads but that doesn't make sense to me. I would love to be able to create hashtags on the fly and have a section called Topics where someone can view all of the topics or click on the hashtag to bring up all content relating to that tag whether that be a profile, a course, an event, a thread or a comment. This would be a huge UX improvement.

Would like to see ability to add tags everywhere...eg in courses too. So, if a member is viewing a unit of a course and wants to focus on a particular learning area, he is able to navigate to other related units, courses and threads through tags

Alexandros Lysios
Yes please :) Would be nice if clicking on a tag would take you to a channel that's automatically generated that admins can "turn into a shared channel" etc. and users can "pin" for their account if they want to.
