Too Many Emails 😱 ... more flexibility needed
Eryn Anitavi
Events, invitations, updates... we're getting complaints from our members that the system sends too many emails.
When we create a new event, we need to let our members know so not sending ANY notifications doesn't work but there's no customization to only send emails to certain groups or excluding certain people who don't want this.
And then, having every single update ping folks even if they didn't RSVP with no way to turn this off is frustrating and problematic for our members. In addition, the update doesn't actually tell folks what was changed so it just creates noise.
Is there anything in the works that will give us better controls over what is sent and to whom and when?

Email Notifications By Group
Stephanie Kunkel
Hi, I would love to have the ability to customize email notifications by group - for instance if I'd like my highest tier group to receive the heavy email notifications and my lowest tier to receive none or vice versa I'd love to be able to set that up. This helps coaches meet their clients where they are - where some of my clients may want to be automatically rsvpd and others may prefer to not have that time taken on their calendar. If I can mark those clients with the appropriate groups, then I could filter the email notifications.

We have the same problem. People were getting pissed off and just leaving our community outright when we couldn't solve it. Eventually, we had to just turn off all email notifications, which then isn't good either because people are no longer in the loop.
