I have found a bunch of suggestions that were similar but fragmented as they didn't cover all the issues. CATEGORY: Featured Request APPLIES TO: Threads and Chats, and ideally in the future COURSES/DOCS/EVENTS. --- PROBLEM 1: Right now, in Heartbeat, we have a limit of 10mb per upload. That is like a 5 seconds video if that. CONTEXT: Whatsapp, Slack, any other messaging/thread platform, they allow you to upload sizes of maximum 2gb, but they compress the video down to like 50-100mb so the quality is much lower. If you think on average a mobile video camera shooting 1080p, it is about 5mb per second, so in a 30 seconds video, your video file would be about 150mb. But most of us, can easily shoot a 30 seconds video (and its pretty common). SOLUTION 1: Increase video limit size to 1gb, but compress the video down. --- PROBLEM 2: Unable to upload video via Mobile App. And if you try to upload a file too big, it will just be stuck (grey circle) just stops and you can't cancel it either. CONTEXT: Most videos are taken via their phones, so on the mobile app, we need to be able to upload it. SOLUTION 2: Fix the ability the upload videos (larger files) from the mobile phone. And put in the percentage (%) completion when uploading so that the user sees that it is working versus waiting for a long time, and it just being crashed (or file too big, it doesn't display or tell you the error). Add a cancel button or link just in case they are uploading the wrong video accidentally.
