Feature Requests

Would like the facility on mobile that desktop and web app has to create both private and group ephemeral voice rooms. As it currently is the mobile user can join a call/room when invited but can not initiate a conversation. A desktop user can start a call to another member from the member profile popup, a mobile user can not. Being able to talk to other members even while on the move is a great feature for building a socially interactive and cohesive community. Holding private calls (between 2 people) via Heartbeat, rather than having to exchange phone numbers (expensive for international) or use some other app like Whatsapp or Google Meets, also fits the philosophy of one place for everything. The missing "Start Call" button does seem like an oversight rather than a deliberate design choice. Hope that it can be added sooner rather than later.

The ability to change it to, for example, "My account".

The mobile app only has voice rooms, without the option for video. Would be great to add video so people can join into the convo from their app.

The current app icon, while the heartbeat logo, makes it look a lot like a dating app rather than a community application. Our rollout was stalled because our community immediately commented about how they felt. Maybe bake in a few options with the next mobile release to allow them to select a different app icon that isn't easily mistakable for something that it isn't.

On mobile, the main items on the sidebar wrap after 6 letters. Courses is 'Course' with 's' on the next line. Same with Threads. Please adjust the font size so it looks clean and neat, or increase the sidebar width. Thank you

This white background just is too much please add nightmode

I like the collapsible course sections on the desktop version of HB. I'd like to see the same in the new mobile. Right now I have a huge list of courses that is hard to navigate. Bringing in the sections on mobile also, would be helpful.

all a mobile web version of the app apart from the mobile app.

I’m using a 12.9” iPad Pro & the app displays cell phone sized. There’s a zoom optin, but it stays portrait. If I turn the iPad to portrait mode, I can also zoom in & it sizes a bit larger, but it still doesn’t quite fill the screen & feels like it really should display more like desktop mode (especially in portrait).
